HOPE Social Skills Program – Empowering Connections Through Structured Exercises and Fun Activities

Cogleap Foundation

Welcome to the HOPE Social Skills Program, a unique and innovative in person program designed specifically for neurodivergent children and adolescents facing social challenges. The HOPE program combines skill-based exercises with interactive group activities to create a supportive, engaging environment where participants can develop essential social skills while having fun.

At HOPE, social development is nurtured through engaging, skill-based exercises and group activities that foster active peer collaboration. Each carefully designed activity promotes communication, cooperation, and confidence, guiding participants on an enjoyable journey toward mastering key social competencies.

What Makes HOPE Unique?

Comprehensive Social Skill Curriculum: This six-week program is structured around six core social skills categories, focusing on 18 targeted skills. From building social awareness to developing advanced friendship techniques, each week introduces new skills that evolve with the participant.

Skill-based Exercises, Peer-Paired Activities, and Strength-Based Approach: Our activities are designed to be dynamic and interactive, encouraging participants to engage fully and form meaningful connections with peers.

Indoor and Outdoor Learning: We offer a diverse learning environment with both indoor and outdoor settings, providing participants with real-world opportunities to practice and strengthen their social skills.

Assessment and Progress Reporting: Pre-group and post-group assessments will be conducted, and progress reports will be provided after each session to track participants’ growth and development.

Parents Education Opportunity: Through assessments, parent interviews, and ongoing communication with parents throughout and at the conclusion of the program, we provide valuable information to help parents support their children in improving social skills. We also offer group meetings where parents can share experiences and techniques for fostering social development in their children.
